Community Christian Missions International (CCMI) is a non-profit organization registered under the registrar of companies of Uganda in 2015. Its origin can be traced back in 1988 when the late Rev. Wilson Ssentongo had started evangelism in Luwunga village under Pentecostal churches of Uganda (PCU). It is then when he appointed John Magaba as a junior pastor in the church in 1994.
In 2001, the government of the Republic of Uganda allocated the land on which the church was sitting to a German investor called Neumann Kaffe Gruppe to do commercial coffee farming and then the church was relocated to Kyengeza Trading center in Kitemba village.
In this new development, John Magaba became the lead pastor of the present day Kyengeza Community Church. From 2001 to 2015 he went on with evangelism in the local area and he felt that there was a need for him to serve beyond the local area by extending the ministry to tackle other needs of the people. Inorder to fulfill this he created CCMI thus becoming the founder of the organization as he realized there was a need to register an organization to be able to achieve his mission of evangelism, children sponsorship, discipleship, education, church planting, health care ,clean water, mercy ministry, income generating activities, to mention but a few.
Through the leadership of Pastor John Magaba and his team backed up by the partners like GNN Finland, Africa Renewal Ministries (ARMS) , E3 Ministries, Fellowship of Community Churches, Mercy Network CCMI has managed to plant a number of churches, do both indoor and open air evangelism, Start up a school (Kyengeza Community School).
Through CCMI especially the radio programs they conduct, thousands of people have accepted Jesus to be their personal lord and savior, Children have access to primary education, leadership training and spiritual discipleship.
